Grading

Grading will be based on three midterms, one final project, one final examination, and several homework assignments.

Home works are to be done in groups of two. No other group structure will be allowed (if the class size is even). Try to form a group where you have an opportunity to learn from each other or at least one person can learn from the other.

Taking turns to do home works is not allowed. It has to be a joint effort each time. Both partners should mention their effort level, totaling to 100% on each submission. If effort percentage is not mentioned, we will assume no body put in any effort (in other word, both of you get a zero grade).

The grade distribution is:

The lab grades will count towards HWs and Project. 5 out of 20 points of project grade will be for labs. HWs will have problems that has lab components.
