SCOPE
The goal of the project is to study or evaluate solution(s) for a selected problem. This provides an opportunity for students to do independent learning on the chosen topic of interest in real-time systems or networks.
Project could be of one of the following types: GUI simulation, implementation, simulation study, or literature survey.
It is partly your responsibility to find a relevant topic for your term paper/project. If you are involved in research or development in this area, your project can relate to your work as long as your work can be public. If you prefer to perform some original work, that is most welcome.
PROPOSAL
The project proposal should be about 1-2 page long and must be submitted through Blackboard. It must include the title of the project, team member(s), project type, project goal, approach used (algorithm, protocol, technique), expected outcomes, and list of references.
Project Team Size: One or Two. [Note: the scope of the project depends on the size of the team].
Off-campus Students: If you could find a project partner, that's fine; otherwise, each of you have to do a project individually.
Feedback on project proposal will be provided.
FINAL REPORT
The final report should be written following the format of a research paper. The length should be about 8-10 pages single spaced.
PROSENTATION
On-campus Students: The presentation will be scheduled in the dead week. Schedule will be announced later.
Off-campus Students: NO presentation. Your project grading will be based on Project Report. Please make sure that your report comprehensive - see sample project report template above.
PROJECT GRADING
The projects will be graded based on the following factors: Technical content, originality, significance, contribution, and quality of presentation.
